The detailing on the jacket of this grey Dior is simply breathe taking. I have always believe that if you are going to do Couture you must DO IT. Which is why I went first to the House of Dior, as Galliano shows what a $50k gown should look like. And remember that most of these dresses, especially Dior are styled to a tee, once the doo-dads, 'scuse me accouterments are taken off, they are quite wearable and simply to die for.
I love the mille feuille of these two dresses, and the coloring is so beautiful, the train on the burgundy one may be a bit much for the cocktail hour though
Ok, without gloves, and a more simple pair of shoes, this dress will certainly turn heads. Who else would be in this color combo? And really, if I am going to step out, I have to STEP OUT. But I am wondering if Ms. Wintour would laugh at me like a Japanese tourist on the Rue St. Honore.
STUNNING...Although, I dont know about the color, maybe a lil too Cinderella goes to the party?
Now, on to Givenchy....I love the braiding detail around the bodice, but I am feeling a little more pizazz then this dress...although it would be so chic for another event.
So, over to Chanel, and my love, Mr. Lagerfeld. I LOVE THIS TUNIC. I mean I would sell my first born child for this tunic. I guess it could also be called a mini-dress, but whatever it is the reason that Karl is the BOSS. This one I have to bookmark, certainly in the top 3 outfit choices...of course with different accessories (unless the lace eye mask thing will get me ALT's digits)
Now, I take it to the other master, Mr. Armani. Not that I would wear a suit to the gala, but that jacket with a pair of very well tailored, Dior-Homme-ish pants in the color of that skirt would be so divine. Remember Kate Moss a few years ago in her Hedi Slimane for Dior Homme suit at the Costume Institute? I think a strong pant suit could make a statement. Only thing is I am 25 (again), perhaps I would look a bit Nan Kempner circa 2004?
More Armani Prive above, love both dresses, similar but I would say the one on the bottom is a bit more forgiving if I decide to actually eat something...wait, are you allowed to eat in the same hall as Ms. Wintour? I feel like she would have strict rules about that.
I love love love this Elie Saab, the coloring is so fresh and vibrant while at the same time subtle. Hmmm, I think this one is bookmarkable.
Mr. Saab again, I LOVE this dress, it is so young and sassy but still subtle...So far this one is #1

Isn't that lime green dress the one that Gwen Stefani wore for the Harper's Bazaar photo shoot?
