Hahahahaha, your favorite spot, ZARA, was called out today in the NY Post for basically being peddlers of knock-offs. I mean this is of course no secret to anyone, isn't that why we love Zara in the first place? Now, you know I am all for the knock-off thing, well, I prefer to call it "faux" as the other word just sounds so seedy. But, really, isn't that what fashion is all about? It starts with the couture then drizzles down to pret-a-porter then drizzles down to what we can afford. I get the idea of copyrighting designs, but that would literally put the fashion industry at a stand still. I mean there are like 5 design houses creating the trends, and everyone follows closely in line. Can you imagine the scene on Canal Street if this goes through? Sneaking down dark alleys to get the latest *faux* clothes...so sad, cause I know we will both be in that alley with a flashlight and a style dream.
And, if they come after my Nine West, I am marching on Washington!
